I think I like the idea of a collection of pictures of my cups of tea... we'll sometimes have tea alone... but the best teas of all are shared with friends... especially N when she is available.

Hello dear one,

One of the softest things my loved one does for me is to bring me a tray with tea and toast on a weekend morning.  Sitting up in my bed with soft pillows around me, and maybe a book or journal is something I can gift myself for free.

Hello dear hearts

. . . Have just made a little pot of tea and brought it up to my studio... 

That little frame encapsulates quite a lot of the energy and sentiment that will be poured into this blog over the coming months. I'm one half of A soft place to go which is a very special co-creative partnership. My name is Denise, I'm a contemporary Artist who has been painting for about 11 years. I've had a creative streak since childhood - always pestering my parents for new crayons, pencils and paints. The other dear heart is Lynika, a gifted Poet & professional Writer who has been writing and creating since she was old enough to hold a crayon without eating it.

In this rapidly moving world we find it is so important to find one's centre, to be able to go within to your own soft place of the heart. And just as important are the stepping stones outside of yourself where it is safe for you to tread, where you find good friends, books, blogs, gardens... any number of everyday things that hold that little bit of magic, that little special something that means more than meets the eye.

We'll be drinking copious amounts of creativitea here, and creating a sacred space in which to rest, and find some comfort ....  put simply, A soft place to go.
